Itinerary

Depart Kampala in the morning, traveling via Mityana and Mubende to Fort Portal. Begin your cultural exploration with a tour of Fort Portal, including Lugard’s Monument, a site with historical significance. Proceed to the Toro Royal Palace, home to King Oyo, and learn about the rich traditions and history of the Toro Kingdom. Visit the royal tombs, where prominent Toro figures are laid to rest, and gain insights into their cultural practices. End your day with dinner and overnight at Palace Motel or Hilton Tours Inn.

After a relaxed breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving mid-morning. Begin with a nature walk, exploring the park’s diverse flora and fauna, and enjoy the serene environment. Have lunch at your lodge before heading to the Kazinga Channel for a memorable boat cruise. Marvel at the abundant aquatic life, including hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds, alongside mammals grazing by the water’s edge. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, Jacana Safari Lodge, or Simba Safari Lodge.

Start your day with an early morning game drive, a prime time for spotting wildlife. Keep an eye out for hyenas, lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, jackals, and other species that inhabit the park’s savannah. After lunch at your lodge, head to Kyambura Gorge for an afternoon chimp tracking adventure. Navigate through the forested gorge as you search for these lively primates in their natural habitat. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy a final morning of sightseeing and relaxation at your lodge before beginning your return journey to Kampala. Stop for lunch in Mbarara and take a brief break at the Equator for photos and souvenirs. Arrive back in Kampala in the evening, marking the end of your safari.
