Itinerary

Begin your journey early in the morning with a transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. En route, stop at the Equator crossing for photo opportunities and geographical demonstrations. After checking into the lodge and relaxing over lunch, embark on a game walking safari. Discover wildlife such as Rothschild giraffes, impalas, zebras, and elands while enjoying the scenic savannah landscape. The day concludes with a relaxing evening and overnight stay at the lodge.

Start the day at 6:00 AM with a visit to the Enyemebwa center to participate in traditional Ankole cattle milking. Engage in various activities like animal treatment, grazing, and banana plantation exploration. Experience a traditional lunch, witness local crafts, and enjoy an evening of vibrant performances featuring traditional songs and dances. This immersive cultural experience provides a deep dive into Banyankole life.

Travel to Bwindi, stopping at the Igongo Cultural Museum to explore the history and art of southwestern Uganda. Visit the 1520AD Eclipse Monument, which holds significant cultural and historical meaning for the Banyankole people. Continue your journey to Bwindi, arriving in the afternoon for relaxation and an overnight stay.

Spend the day tracking the critically endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After a morning briefing, trek through dense jungle landscapes to find these magnificent creatures. Once located, you’ll spend an hour observing their behavior. In the evening, enjoy captivating traditional performances by the Bakiga community, showcasing their energetic dances and songs.

Head to Kisoro for a coffee exploration tour on the shores of Lake Mutanda. Learn about traditional coffee cultivation, roasting, and processing methods while enjoying scenic views of the Virunga Mountains and Lake Mutanda. Relax at your lodge in the evening.

After breakfast, cross the border into Rwanda, passing through scenic landscapes and local settlements. Arrive in Kigali in time for your afternoon flight. Alternatively, return to Kampala if preferred.
