Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel at 6:00 AM. Transfer to Entebbe Airport and board a flight to Kihihi Airstrip, operated by Aerolink Airlines, known for its quality and safe flights within Uganda. Upon arrival, meet your safari guide and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, located in southwestern Uganda. Along the way, soak in the picturesque landscapes as you prepare for the adventure ahead. Dinner and overnight stay at a selected lodge near the park.
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing by experienced rangers. This is the highlight of the safari – gorilla trekking in the dense rainforest. Accompanied by guides and trackers, embark on an adventure to find a mountain gorilla family in their natural habitat.
The trek can last between 2 to 8 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. Navigate steep, muddy trails and bamboo-covered slopes, but the sight of a magnificent silverback and its family makes every effort worthwhile. Spend an hour observing these gentle giants, marveling at their interactions, communication, and sheer presence. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
Enjoy an early breakfast before your guide transfers you to Kihihi Airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe. Upon arrival, a representative will meet you to transfer you to Kampala or Entebbe. If your international flight is scheduled for the same day, we will ensure you are well-prepared for your onward journey, including a debrief on your trekking experience.
